What is a scholarly source and how is it different from a non-scholarly source?

1. From the sources provided select a scholarly source that you might use for your topic. What makes it scholarly? How will it help support or demonstrate your argument? Write 3-5 sentences summarizing the source.

3.  Select one source that you plan on using for your essay that you havent already used for this assignment and demonstrate active reading by highlighting key words and phrases, annotating with your thoughts and responses to the information, and noting how you are thinking about using it to make your argument. Write 3-5 sentences summarizing the source.

4. Be sure to include notes and annotations.
