Gold prices in India today jumped after falling for two consecutive days as US yellow metal prices edged lower on Friday as investors keenly waiting for crucial US inflation data that may shed more light on the Fed Reserve’s approach on interest rate cuts. 22k gold prices today rallied by Rs 400 to Rs 66,150/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat yellow metal prices today jumped by Rs 4000 to Rs 6,61,500 on June 28, 2024. 24K gold prices today surged by Rs 430 to Rs 72,160/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices zoomed by Rs 4,300 to Rs 7,21,600 on Friday.
18k gold prices today surged by Rs 320 to Rs 54,120/10 grams and 100 grams of 18 carat yellow metal prices today got dearer by Rs 3200 to Rs 5,41,200.Simla Stock
Spot Gold, Spot Silver Prices Today: Spot gold declined 0.3% at $2,321.39 per ounce, as of 0157 GMT. Prices surged approximately 4% for the quarter. Bullion stayed flat for both the week and the month. Spot silver fell 0.5% to $28.91 per ounce, platinum surged 0.7% to $994.42 and palladium rallied 1.5% to $943.22., according to Reuters.
According to Reuters, “Some of the data that came out was supportive to the gold market. It was essentially the wholesale inventories that came in lower than expected. The final GDP figure is significantly lower. So gold futures are getting a boost on dollar index coming off,” said Phillip Streible, chief market strategist at Blue Line Futures.
Silver Prices Today: Silver prices in India today stayed unchanged at Rs 90,000/kg and 100 grams of silver prices today remained steady at Rs 9000.
Gold price today jumped by Rs 400, slipped by Rs 250 on June 27, fell by Rs 250 on June 26, stayed unchanged on June 25, dived by Rs 100 on June 24, stayed steady on June 23, slipped by Rs 800 on June 22, jumped by Rs 750 on June 21, soared by Rs 200 on June 20, stayed unchanged on June 19, and slipped by Rs 100 on June 18.
Silver prices did not undergo any changes today, remained steady on June 28 as well, fell by Rs 1000 on June 26, fell by Rs 700 on June 25, slipped by Rs 300 on June 24, remained unchanged on June 23, dived by Rs 2000 on June 22, soared by Rs 1500 on June 21, surged by Rs 1500 on June 20, dived by Rs 500 on June 19, and surged by Rs 500 on June 18.
